What I have learned from TechStart
I have learned about information highways. For example small networks, routers, packets that travel through routers to through the internet. ”A bottleneck is a phenomenon where the performance or capacity of an entire system is limited by a single or limited number of components or resources. ‘The term bottleneck is taken from the ‘assets are water’ metaphor. As water is poured out of a bottle, the rate of outflow is limited by the width of the conduit of exit – that is, bottleneck. Increase the width of the bottleneck, and you can increase the rate of which the water flows out. Pertaining to a business, a firm will address the ‘bottleneck’ that is limiting production.”
Also about how every computer that is hooked up to the internet has a service provider and how that is connected to the router. Some internet connection can handle more packets than others. The next exciting enteresting thing we learned about was making websites. Like with the domain name , for example http://johndoe.org
We have learned about websites. To make a website like Web 2.0 which is technologly that allows the user to add content, blogs and social networks. Not last and not least the host which is where a website lives in HTML, hyper text, mark-up language. The biggest things we learned about was HTML tags.
For Example :
HTML Tags:
<html>: open tags
</html>closed tags
Within the html tags you have many tags like…
<body>
<p>: paragraph
<h1>: largest heading
<h2>: second largest heading
<h3>: third largest heading
<title>: title of the page
<Meta>
BG color: background colors for the website
See there are alot of tags just to make a website.
There are some website design principals which are…
